Appearing on the MBC show 'Radio Star' on the 17th, Kim Tae-won discussed the surprising impact of IU's rendition of the beloved song. He recalled the moment IU's team first proposed the remake, expressing his conviction in IU's exceptional talent at the time.

"I never imagined the song would become such a hit overnight," Kim Tae-won confessed. "IU is a true superstar, and I knew she would achieve even greater success."

His words proved prophetic, as the royalties for "Never Ending Story" have significantly increased since IU's cover was released. When asked if he had ever received 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000 USD) in royalties in a single quarter, Kim Tae-won stated, "That much came in every quarter when IU remade it," confirming the 'IU jackpot' phenomenon.
