SHINee member Minho is set to appear on MBC's popular variety show 'Home Alone' (also known as 'I Live Alone') as a 'relief pitcher,' filling the void left by the departures of comedian Park Na-rae and fellow SHINee member Key.

On the morning of the 18th, 'Home Alone' released preview stills from Minho's filming session, heightening anticipation. During a recent recording, Minho embarked on a winter mountain trek along the Baekdudaegan mountain range with his fellow Marines from his military service.

The broadcast featuring Minho is scheduled for the 19th. During his mandatory military service, Minho voluntarily enlisted in the Marine Corps, showcasing a passionate and healthy lifestyle that earned him the nicknames 'Athletic Idol' and 'Sports Idol.' Even after his discharge, he has maintained strong bonds with his former comrades, and he expressed excitement about reuniting with them, adding to the anticipation.

This episode is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first broadcast following the recent departures of regular cast members Park Na-rae and Key. Park Na-rae halted her activities amidst a public dispute with her former managers and allegations of illegal medical procedures. Key also announced a hiatus after being shocked to discover that medical procedures he received through an acquaintance were performed illegally.

Amidst these circumstances, the preview suggests Minho will not only catch up with his former colleagues but also reveal his past role as a confidant for those struggling with worries during his military days. He is expected to showcase his unwavering 'Once a Marine, Always a Marine' loyalty by taking calls late at night.

Furthermore, Minho's 'favorite junior' from the Marines will also make an appearance, promising unique chemistry. The preview also indicates that Minho will lead a 'Mighty Marine' unit on an 11km round-trip mountain march, demonstrating his enduring stamina and passion. He reportedly pushed through strong winds, treating the trek as a 'training session.'

With changes in the cast, viewer attention is focused on MBC's flagship program 'Home Alone' and the stories Minho will bring. 'Home Alone' airs every Friday at 11:10 PM KST.

Korean netizens expressed excitement for Minho's appearance, with comments like 'Minho is finally on Home Alone!', 'Looking forward to the Marine Corps special!', and 'Can they do well without Key and Na-rae?'. There's a mix of anticipation for Minho and concern about the void left by the departing members.
