A wave of goodwill has emerged as singer-actor Lee Jun-young prepares for his musical comeback. To celebrate the upcoming release of his new mini-album, 'Last Dance,' an anonymous fan has donated 3 million won (approximately $2,200) to Compassion Korea, the international child development organization announced on September 18th. The generous contribution is earmarked to assist with a kidney transplant for Benedicta, an 18-year-old girl in Ghana suffering from end-stage renal failure.

According to Compassion, the funds will cover essential aspects of her treatment, including pre-surgery tests, the operation itself, medication, and post-operative recovery care, aiming to help her regain her health and return to a normal life. The donor expressed a heartfelt sentiment, stating, "Through supporting my favorite artist, I discovered the joy of giving, and I wanted to spread that positive influence. I hope this donation becomes a seed of hope for children in need worldwide, helping them grow and pursue their dreams."

A representative from Compassion Korea conveyed their deep gratitude, adding, "We are profoundly thankful for this meaningful act of kindness inspired by Lee Jun-young. We will strive to ensure the donation provides vital support and hope that such gestures will continue to foster a healthy culture of giving."

Lee Jun-young, who first debuted as a member of the group U-KISS, has successfully carved out a dual career in both music and acting. He recently captivated audiences with his role as Yeong-beom in Netflix's 'Hierarchy,' and has also showcased his acting prowess in '24 Hour Fitness Club' and 'Weak Hero Class 2,' earning recognition as a rapidly rising talent. His upcoming release, 'Last Dance,' scheduled for September 22nd, marks his first musical comeback in five years.
