YouTuber Sanghaegi, who boasts 1.65 million subscribers, is facing mounting criticism following allegations of drunk driving. The content creator has remained silent, opting to delete his social media accounts.

Disappointed fans are rapidly distancing themselves, with Sanghaegi's YouTube channel 'SanghaegiSangHyuk' reportedly losing around 10,000 subscribers, bringing his total down to 1.64 million. This significant drop occurred on March 23rd, just ten days after he celebrated reaching the 1.65 million subscriber milestone.

The core of the subscriber exodus stems from the DUI accusations. Authorities in Songpa, Seoul, are investigating a man in his 30s, identified as 'A', for refusing a breathalyzer test and fleeing the scene after being stopped for suspected drunk driving on March 21st.

When it emerged that 'A' was a YouTuber with 1.65 million subscribers, online communities quickly speculated that Sanghaegi was the individual in question, given his substantial following and demographic profile. Fans flooded his social media, demanding explanations and expressing their disappointment.

Adding to the sense of betrayal, Sanghaegi had been actively posting sponsored content and uploading new videos on his YouTube channel even after the allegations surfaced. His most recent YouTube video has garnered approximately 8,000 comments, overwhelmingly critical.

While some urged caution, noting the lack of definitive confirmation linking Sanghaegi to the arrest, his swift deletion of social media accounts has only intensified the suspicions and fueled further public outcry.

Sanghaegi began his online career as an AfreecaTV BJ in 2018 before transitioning to YouTube in 2019. He has also ventured into entrepreneurship, launching his own French fry brand. His public profile was further boosted by appearances on television shows like KBS2's 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears'.
