
Musical 'Beetlejuice' Announces Stellar Cast Including Jung Sung-hwa and Kim Jun-su, Premieres in December
The highly anticipated musical 'Beetlejuice' has revealed its dazzling cast for its return after a four-year hiatus, featuring a mix of original stars and exciting new talents.
Based on Tim Burton's iconic 1988 film, 'Beetlejuice' tells a fantastically bizarre tale of a mischievous ghost and the living who encounter him. The production captivated audiences during its initial Korean run, earning praise as a 'musical theme park' for its imaginative staging and effects. It also received widespread acclaim, securing a record 10 nominations at the Korea Musical Awards, including Best Musical.
Leading the charge as the titular spectral entity is the acclaimed Jung Sung-hwa, alongside Jeong Won-young and Kim Jun-su, all renowned for their powerful stage presence and versatility. Hong Na-hyun and Jang Min-je return as the determined Lydia, who first impressed audiences in the original run. The roles of Barbara and Adam will be played by Park Hye-mi and Na Ha-na, and Lee Yul and Jeong Wook-jin, respectively. Kim Yong-soo and Kim Dae-ryeong take on the role of Charles, while Jeon Soo-mi and Yoon Gong-ju embody the vibrant Delia.
