Actor Ahn Hyo-seop is solidifying his status as a rising global star by expanding his influence into the advertising industry, leveraging his recent international success on Netflix.
Ahn has been chosen as the new face for Lotte Chilsung Beverage's iconic drink, '2% 부족할 때' (When You're 2% Short), appearing in a new commercial for the beloved beverage. The advertisement features Ahn's own rendition of the signature song 〈사랑은 언제나 목마르다〉 (Love is Always Thirsty), which has already generated significant buzz upon its release.
The commercial transcends a simple product promotion, captivating viewers with its emotional visual storytelling and the resonant melody sung by Ahn. Set against a backdrop of rain, the ad concept powerfully encapsulates the beginning and end of love within its brief runtime. Ahn skillfully portrays the tender excitement of new romance and the quiet acceptance of parting, using his characteristically subtle yet sincere vocal delivery.
