Comedienne Kim Sook Reflects on Turning 50, Offers Advice to 40s Colleagues: 'Forty is a Beautiful Age'

Comedienne Kim Sook has shared her thoughts on reaching the age of 50 and offered words of encouragement to her colleagues in their 40s.

As a travel companion remarked, 'Seeing people so enthusiastically enjoying their youth like that makes me so envious,' Kim Sook replied, 'I don't feel envious.' She recalled how a senior actor once told her, 'Forty is the perfect age to be beautiful. You know things now, and you can do things. It's a truly beautiful age.' This remark marked a significant turning point for her.

Based on this experience, Kim Sook stated that she now reassures her juniors in their 40s who worry about the age, telling them, 'Forty is truly a beautiful age.'

Regarding her own 50th birthday, Kim Sook expressed, 'Fifty is an even more beautiful age.' She added, 'I feel like I’ve gained some experience now. I think I won’t make foolish mistakes anymore,' and feels a great sense of gratitude. She contrasted this trip with her visit to Florence in her 30s, noting that now she feels thankful for every moment.
