Jung Kyung-ho on 'Boss' Co-stars: 'They are Truly Alive Figures; I Felt Like the Only Normal One'
Actor Jung Kyung-ho shared his impressions of working with co-stars like Jo Woo-jin and Park Ji-hwan on the film 'Boss'.
Attending the press preview and discussion for 'Boss' at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul on the 24th, Jung Kyung-ho spoke about his experience playing 'Kang-pyo', a character aspiring to be a tango dancer.
He revealed that the role was initially planned as a pianist, but due to time constraints, he and the director decided to switch to tango after discussions. Jung Kyung-ho dedicated about three months to practicing tango before filming and mentioned that despite feeling he lacked natural dancing talent, he completed the character by learning alongside the director.
Jung Kyung-ho humorously remarked about his fellow actors, “It was great to act with truly alive figures. These are not easy people. Unlike me, they seem to have portrayed very vibrant roles. As we worked together, I found it fascinating, honorable, and fun, making me feel like ‘I am the extremely normal one’,” eliciting laughter.
He recalled the filming of 'Boss' as “a happy summer two years ago,” adding a warm sentiment. Director Ra Hee-chan also disclosed the casting story behind Jung Kyung-ho, stating that his free-spirited charm led them to suggest the tango role.
Jung Kyung-ho debuted in 2004 with the KBS drama 'Drama City - Next to the Railway Track'. He has showcased a wide acting spectrum with his excellent skills and attractive visuals, actively participating in numerous dramas and films. Notably, he garnered significant affection for his role as neurosurgeon Kim Jun-wan in the tvN drama series 'Hospital Playlist'.
