Comedian Lee Jin-ho has once again caused controversy after being caught for drunk driving while under investigation for habitual gambling.

Last October, Lee Jin-ho admitted to using illegal gambling sites and revealed he had incurred significant debt. He halted all entertainment activities at the time, expressing his financial and emotional struggles and vowing to repay his debts. His confession on the day of the Netflix 'Comedy Revenge' press conference led to his withdrawal from the show and his position as a goodwill ambassador for his hometown, severely impacting his career.

Lee Jin-ho was investigated by the police for habitual gambling charges and was sent to the prosecution in April. He repeatedly apologized during the investigation and expressed his commitment to cooperating fully.

However, approximately 11 months later, on September 24, 2025, he was again booked for drunk driving. He was arrested by the police for allegedly driving under the influence for about 100km. His agency, SM C&C, acknowledged the incident and stated that he is deeply reflecting on his actions.

As a result, Lee Jin-ho now faces combined charges for habitual gambling and drunk driving, as neither has reached a final verdict. His past pledge to 'not become someone pointed at by others' has proven hollow, as continuous controversies lead to public disappointment.

Lee Jin-ho debuted as a comedian in 2005 on SBS's 'Comedy Big League'. His comedic style, characterized by witty remarks and sly acting, has been well-loved by audiences. He has actively participated in various variety shows with fellow comedians, maintaining a busy career.
