The press preview for the upcoming film 'Boss' was held on the 24th at Lotte Cinema World Tower, with director Ra Hee-chan and actors Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Hwang Woo-seul-hye in attendance.

'Boss' is a comic action film centered around a fierce competition among gang members vying to 'give up' the boss position for their own dreams, as the organization's future hangs in the balance.

Lee Kyu-hyung portrays Tae-gyu, an undercover police officer who has infiltrated the Sikgu-pa gang for ten years. He humorously stated his intention to 'follow in the footsteps of the undercover characters from 'New World',' but quickly apologized, saying, 'I think I've caused trouble.'

He described his character as being thrown into a whirlwind of emotions, embodying both a clumsy charm and seriousness. Lee explained, 'I believed that the more seriously I portrayed him, the funnier the situations unfolding behind him would become.'

Notably, Tae-gyu is forced to consume drugs in the latter half of the film, a scene that drew comparisons to Lee's previous role as 'Haerong-i,' a drug offender in the tvN drama 'Prison Playbook.' Lee laughed, admitting, 'Unintentionally, I've become a drug addict again.'

Director Ra Hee-chan revealed that the decision to incorporate the drug element in the climax was made while considering Lee Kyu-hyung, saying, 'I thought of Lee Kyu-hyung when we were agonizing over the climax and different items, and decided on this.' He added, 'I wanted to incorporate touches that fans who liked his previous character, Haerong-i, would appreciate.'

The film 'Boss' is set to premiere on October 3rd.

Lee Kyu-hyung is a versatile actor known for his ability to transition seamlessly between film and drama projects. He has also consistently showcased his strong acting skills through musical theater. His unique features and witty performances have earned him a dedicated fanbase.
