Comedian Lee Jin-ho Caught DUI, Plunges Deeper After Previous Scandal

Comedian Lee Jin-ho finds himself at the center of controversy once again. Just a year after admitting to illegal gambling charges and entering a period of self-reflection, he has now been caught for drunk driving. Public disappointment is growing with his repeated offenses.

His agency, SM C&C, officially confirmed on the 24th, stating, "We have confirmed with Lee Jin-ho himself that he did indeed drive under the influence this morning. He has completed his police investigation and is currently awaiting the results." The agency added, "Lee Jin-ho acknowledges his wrongdoing without excuses and is deeply remorseful."

Previously, reports indicated that Lee Jin-ho was apprehended by police in Incheon after driving approximately 100km while intoxicated, following a tip-off. The Yangpyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province confirmed his arrest around 3 AM in Yangpyeong County, verifying the DUI charge through inter-regional cooperation.

The core issue lies in Lee Jin-ho's prior involvement in illegal gambling last year, which caused significant public outcry. At that time, it was revealed he had lost hundreds of millions of won on illegal online gambling sites and owed around 2 billion won, borrowed from fellow celebrities and loan sharks.
