Veteran actress Kim Mi-kyung has revealed her profound affection for the actresses who played her daughters in various dramas.

Appearing on the MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star' on the 24th as part of a 'K-Mom Special,' Kim Mi-kyung discussed her special bonds with the actors she worked with as a mother figure.

When asked if she had any daughters she felt particularly close to, Kim Mi-kyung responded, "There are friends who still keep in touch even after filming ends." She specifically mentioned Jang Na-ra and Kim Tae-hee as the daughters she maintains a relationship with like a real mother and child.

Kim Mi-kyung previously portrayed mother-daughter roles with Jang Na-ra in the drama 'Go Back Couple' and with Kim Tae-hee in 'Hi Bye, Mama!' She expressed her joy, stating, "Because the storylines in the dramas were so deep and poignant, our connection became even more special in real life. It can't be easy to approach a senior actor with a significant age difference, but they are all so lovely."

Furthermore, she shared a unique connection with Park Min-young, having played mother and daughter in five different productions. Kim Mi-kyung humorously recalled Park Min-young contacting her during their fifth collaboration, saying, "Mom, I think this is fate."

Reflecting on the passing of her own mother last year, Kim Mi-kyung shared, "I didn't send out individual funeral notices, but after the news broke, so many people came to pay their respects. Most of my drama daughters also visited, which was a great comfort." When the MCs brought up Im Soo-hyang, Kim Mi-kyung warmly added, "Soo-hyang couldn't come because she didn't receive the notice," further highlighting her considerate nature. Kim Mi-kyung and Im Soo-hyang previously played mother and daughter in the 2020 drama 'When I Was the Most Beautiful.'

Kim Mi-kyung made her debut as a theater actress in 1981 and has since become a beloved figure in Korean entertainment. She is renowned for her versatile portrayals of maternal characters across numerous dramas and films. Often referred to as an 'expert mom actress,' she consistently delivers memorable performances.
