Comedian Lee Jin-ho Caught Driving Under the Influence, Blood Alcohol Level Exceeds Revocation Threshold
Comedian Lee Jin-ho has once again found himself embroiled in controversy. Following allegations of illegal gambling last October, he has now been apprehended by police for driving under the influence, with a blood alcohol content exceeding the level required for license revocation.
According to reports, Lee Jin-ho drove approximately 100km home after a drinking session with his girlfriend. His girlfriend, who witnessed him driving, directly contacted the police to report the incident. Authorities tracked his vehicle and apprehended him near his residence. The breathalyzer test administered at the scene revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.11%, well above the legal limit for license cancellation. A blood test has also been conducted at Lee Jin-ho's request, with results pending.
His agency, SM C&C, issued a statement admitting the offense and expressing deep remorse. "Lee Jin-ho himself acknowledges the act of drunk driving and is reflecting deeply on his wrongdoing without any excuses," the statement read. The agency also pledged to fulfill their responsibilities and cooperate fully with the legal proceedings.
