Soyou Recounts Tumultuous Guam Trip: Broken Luggage to Shark Scare
Singer Soyou has shared her eventful Guam travelogue in the second part of her vlog series.
On the 25th, Soyou uploaded a video titled "Why is this happening to me.. About the Broken Luggage Incident | Soyou's Guam Trip VLOG Part 2" to her YouTube channel, 'Soyougi.' She further piqued curiosity by adding, "Following the last episode, Soyou heads to Guam! Her luggage gets broken.. and she encounters a shark(?) Soyou's chaotic Guam trip, part 2! What happened to Soyou??"
In the video, Soyou faced a bizarre situation upon arriving at the airport when her luggage was found to be completely shattered. Experiencing such an incident for the first time in her life, Soyou, unable to hide her bewilderment, showed the damaged suitcase and inquired at the airline counter. After being informed that an insurance claim would be the fastest resolution, Soyou decided to proceed with the insurance claim rather than purchasing a new suitcase.
"I'm glad this didn't happen when I was alone. We can laugh about it because we're together," Soyou said positively before heading to a shopping mall. She indulged in an unexpected shopping spree, purchasing various items from clothes to rugs and hats.
Later, while enjoying snorkeling at the beach, Soyou followed her manager into deeper waters. At that moment, she received a warning about sharks from a local and, in her haste to return to shore, injured her leg. Soyou revealed her injured leg, cautioning, "I got hurt while rushing back out of fear. Everyone, please be careful when swimming in the ocean!"
On her last day, Soyou sat on the beach, watched the sunset, and reflected on her Guam trip. "It felt like we had the whole sea to ourselves. I heard there were sharks over there, near the cliffs," she recounted, describing the frightening moment. She also mentioned the trash she found in the ocean, stating, "As someone who loves the sea, I couldn't just leave the garbage."
Soyou debuted in 2010 as a member of the group SISTAR, where she served as the main vocalist. During her time with SISTAR, she garnered immense popularity for her exceptional singing skills and healthy image. Since embarking on her solo career, she has solidified her unique musical identity with numerous hit songs, including 'Some (Feat. Junggigo)', 'Rainy Day', and 'A Love Divided'. Furthermore, she has showcased her versatility as an all-around entertainer through appearances on various variety shows and by participating in drama OSTs.
