Comedian Sung Hyun-joo has welcomed her second daughter into the world, five years after a deeply painful loss. She shared the joyous news via her social media on September 24th.

Sung Hyun-joo posted a picture of the newborn with a note that read, 'Sung Hyun-joo's baby September 24th,' evoking touching emotions from her followers.

Earlier, in anticipation of the birth, Sung expressed her feelings, stating, 'Over 100 eggs were collected from my ovaries, and one of them became life and is now filling my womb. I am going to try to become a mother again.' Videos released on the same day showed fellow comedians shedding tears of joy upon hearing the news of her pregnancy, highlighting the deep support she has.

Sung Hyun-joo debuted as a KBS comedian in 2007. She married a non-celebrity in 2011 and welcomed her first son in January 2014. Tragically, her son suddenly fell ill in 2018 and, after a three-year battle, passed away in 2020 at the age of five.
