Actress Kim Nam-joo and her husband, actor Kim Seung-woo, revisited the picturesque region of Gangjin, South Jeolla Province, on the SBS Life program 'Queen of Taste: Kim Nam-joo.'

Having previously visited in May for the Hydrangea Festival, where their presence significantly boosted tourism, the couple received a special invitation to return.

Filled with excitement for their autumn visit, Kim Nam-joo expressed her delight at having more quality time together without their children, saying, "We're going back to Gangjin two months after the Hydrangea Festival. We'll get to eat even more delicious food."

Kim Seung-woo humorously added, "I think I've been to Gangjin four or five times now. I'm coming again next month for a baseball game. The people of Gangjin probably think I'm one of them!"

Their first stop was the elegant Baegundong Garden, a place cultivated by a disciple of the renowned scholar Dasan Jeong Yak-yong. For Kim Seung-woo, who once portrayed Dasan Jeong Yak-yong himself, the visit held special significance. He recalled, "I played the role of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong in a Chuseok special drama," to which Kim Nam-joo fondly replied, "It was a familiar role."

Later, they explored a local brewery, marveling at the unique makgeolli (Korean rice wine). Kim Seung-woo was impressed, stating, "If you pour this makgeolli into a wine glass and do a blind taste test, you could even trick someone into thinking it's wine." Kim Nam-joo agreed, complimenting the "very stylish label."

After tasting the makgeolli, they praised its complex flavor, describing it as "somewhere between sake, beer, and wine."

Kim Nam-joo then ventured to a traditional Korean village (Hanok Village). Reflecting on her children's past educational trips, she mused, "When they were young, we'd take them on field trips without knowing the exact location. Even if they don't remember, it must have had some influence." She recalled bringing her daughter for a traditional Hanok experience around the age of nine and expressed a desire to explore such places more personally, saying, "My husband and I tend to stick to familiar places, so I wanted to visit just for fun. I thought I'd like to come here for this Hanok-style atmosphere."

Kim Nam-joo gained widespread fame with the 1990s hit drama 'What Is Love Like?', which achieved record-breaking viewership ratings. She solidified her status as a queen of romantic comedies with subsequent successful dramas like 'My Husband Got a Family' and 'Queen of Housewives.' In 2005, she married actor Kim Seung-woo, and they have one son and one daughter.
