
Shin Ye-eun's Disney+ Historical Drama 'The Great River' Premieres Today, Eyeing Domestic Domination
Actress Shin Ye-eun's first Disney+ original historical drama, 'The Great River' (Takryu), is set to be released today, the 26th.
Set against the backdrop of Gyeonggang, a hub for all goods and capital in Joseon, 'The Great River' is a destiny-carving action drama that tells the story of individuals with different dreams striving to correct a turbulent world and live as proper human beings. Shin Ye-eun takes on the role of Choi Eun, the youngest daughter of the 'Choi Clan,' who aspires to lead Joseon's largest merchant group. She is expected to portray a progressive and strong female character who fearlessly pursues her dreams without being bound by traditional customs.
Shin Ye-eun has consistently expanded her acting spectrum by skillfully handling a wide range of genres. Beyond modern dramas like 'He is Psychometric,' 'Welcome,' and '18 Again,' she has also tackled thrillers and historical pieces in 'Revenge of Others' and 'The Secret Romantic Guesthouse.'
