Actor Jo Woo-jin has shared the behind-the-scenes story of his drastic weight loss during the filming of the movie 'Boss'.

In a recent interview in Seoul for 'Boss' (directed by Ra Hee-chan), Jo Woo-jin discussed the difference in action styles between 'Boss' and his upcoming drama 'Pray for Us' (previously 'The Mantis' or '사마귀'), explaining the reasons behind his significant weight change.

Playing 'Sun-tae', the second-in-command of an organization and a chef, Jo Woo-jin stated, "The point for 'Boss' was to be able to be funny at times, while 'Pray for Us' required a character who was heavy and didn't want to get hit." He recalled, "I joined 'Boss' right after finishing 'Harbin', so I had already lost a lot of weight. The lost weight wasn't easily regained, so I decided to go with speed and find a fun angle."

He revealed that he weighed as much as 82kg for 'Pray for Us' but had slimmed down to just 59kg before shooting 'Boss', astonishing those present. Jo Woo-jin candidly confessed, "I was so thin, I looked awful."

Currently weighing around 72kg, he jokingly remarked that he finds himself "unbearable" if he goes above 75kg or below 65kg. He added that he is considering staff suggestions to further refine his appearance.

Jo Woo-jin debuted in 2006 with the play 'Circle' and has since built a solid acting career through various productions. He captivates audiences on both the big and small screens with his unique charisma and realistic performances. His remarkable ability to embody intense characters has left a lasting impression on the public.
