Comedian Jo Se-ho Mourns Passing of Mentor Jeon Yu-seong: 'I Was So Happy and Grateful'

Comedian Jo Se-ho has expressed his deep sorrow and paid tribute to the late Jeon Yu-seong, whom he considered a mentor and a father figure in the comedy world.

On the 26th, Jo Se-ho shared a series of photos on his social media account, reminiscing about his time with the late Jeon Yu-seong. He wrote, "I was so happy and grateful to have been your junior and your student."

The uploaded pictures captured Jo's journey from his early days as 'Yangbaechu' (Cabbage) to his present self. Alongside photos of the late Jeon Yu-seong in good health, moments like Jeon officiating Jo's wedding were also included, evoking heartfelt emotions.

Jo recalled a particular day when he vividly remembered Jeon Yu-seong's call, saying, "Se-ho, where are you? Sing me a song." He shared, "When I was struggling with my work, your words, 'It's one of two: do it or don't. Just do it,' constantly echo in my heart."

He added, "Your last words, 'Take care,' are still clear in my ears. I will never forget the times we spent together and will cherish them in my heart forever. I hope you can rest peacefully in a place without suffering, our professor."

Meanwhile, the late Jeon Yu-seong passed away on the 25th around 9:05 PM due to worsening pleuro-pneumothorax. His wake is being held at Asan Medical Center, Room 1, with the funeral procession scheduled for 7 AM on the 28th.

Jo Se-ho debuted as a comedian in 1998 and has since become a beloved figure in various entertainment programs. His distinctive wit and engaging speaking style have solidified his position as a leading entertainer. He is also expanding his reach by interacting with fans through his YouTube channel.
