
Singer Jin Mi-ryeong Sends Wreath to Mourn Late Ex-Husband Jeon Yu-seong
Singer Jin Mi-ryeong has sent a wreath to the funeral hall of her late ex-husband, Jeon Yu-seong, a revered figure in the Korean comedy scene, to express her condolences.
The mourning hall has been set up at Room 1 of the Asan Medical Center Funeral Hall in Seoul, and mourners have been arriving since early morning.
Although Jin Mi-ryeong could not attend in person, she sent a funeral wreath to pay tribute to the deceased. She married Jeon Yu-seong in 1993, and the couple separated in 2011 after more than 20 years of marriage.
In a past broadcast, Jin Mi-ryeong calmly commented on their separation, stating, "Jeon Yu-seong is a good person. We just parted ways because our personalities didn't quite match."
Jeon Yu-seong passed away on the 25th at the age of 76 due to worsening symptoms of pneumothorax. He had refused life-sustaining treatment, and his remains will be interred in Inwol-myeon, Namwon-si.
The funeral will be held under the auspices of the Comedians Association.
Jin Mi-ryeong debuted in 1975 and is a representative singer in South Korea. She has received widespread acclaim for numerous hit songs such as 'Miun Sarang' and 'Nim-eun Meon Gose.' Beyond her singing career, she has actively participated in various television programs.
