
Lee Si-young Donates 100 Million KRW to Support Single-Parent Families
Actress Lee Si-young is setting a positive example by making a generous donation of 100 million KRW (approximately $73,000 USD) to aid single-parent households.
On the 26th, Lee Si-young shared on her personal social media that she had contributed the significant sum to the Korea Single Mothers' Family Association. Accompanying photos showed her personally delivering the donation.
The funds are designated to support projects aimed at improving housing conditions for families headed by single mothers. Lee Si-young expressed her motivation, stating, "I wanted to offer a slightly different and warmer kind of support this year," and "Once I started, I realized how many families truly need assistance, and I felt a strong desire to do more."
She also extended an open invitation for advice and assistance from professionals in the interior design and furniture industries, emphasizing her commitment to helping these families create better living environments.
Lee Si-young married businessman Cho Seung-hyun in 2017 and they have a son together. Earlier this year, news broke of their divorce after eight years of marriage. Amidst the divorce proceedings, she announced her pregnancy with their second child, receiving widespread congratulations. She is currently eight months pregnant and expecting soon.
