Global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK's member Rosé has become embroiled in a racism controversy following controversial photo editing by 'ELLE UK'.

On the 30th, 'ELLE UK' released photos from the 'Saint Laurent 2026 SS Fashion Show' held in Paris, France. Rosé, a global ambassador for Saint Laurent, attended the event and was pictured with Charli XCX, Hailey Bieber, and Zoë Kravitz.

However, among the photos published by 'ELLE UK', one was a cropped image that excluded Rosé from the group picture. Her presence was also absent in other shared photographs.

Fans have strongly protested, accusing 'ELLE UK' of deliberately excluding Rosé. They argue it's incomprehensible to edit out Rosé, the sole global ambassador for Saint Laurent among the four individuals, from the group photo.

Adding fuel to the fire, a photo shared by Charli XCX on her personal account, featuring the same group, showed Rosé appearing darker due to apparent lighting or editing, intensifying the racism accusations. Critics pointed out that with numerous photos available from various angles, the choice to use an image where Rosé is underexposed or partially cut off suggests discriminatory intent.

Meanwhile, Rosé's group BLACKPINK is currently on a successful world tour, continuing their performances across Asia after completing their North American and European legs.

Netizens reacted with outrage, commenting, "This is blatant racism," "How could they crop out Rosé, the Saint Laurent ambassador?", and "This is truly upsetting."
