Actor Song Kang has officially announced his discharge from military service, sharing his final moments in uniform with fans.
On April 2nd, following his completion of service, Song Kang posted a message on his social media account along with photos of himself in his military uniform, marking the end of his service period from '2024.04.02~2025.10.01'. The released images show Song Kang in a neat uniform, giving a salute and making a dashing report to his fans.
Despite his short haircut, his distinct features and warm visuals captivated the attention of fans. Song Kang enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the army on April 2nd last year and was honorably discharged as a sergeant on October 1st, National Armed Forces Day. After completing his approximately 1 year and 6 months of service, he returns with a more mature presence.
Song Kang was active in Netflix dramas such as the 'Sweet Home' series and 'My Demon'. Notably, 'Sweet Home' is considered his representative work that propelled him to global stardom. Having concluded his military hiatus, Song Kang will first meet his fans at the '2025 Song Kang Fan Meeting: Round 2' to be held at Yonsei University's Centennial Hall on November 8th.
