Fans of actor Kim Soo-hyun have stepped forward to address and counter the swirling rumors and distorted reports surrounding the star.

Amidst the recent spread of unsubstantiated claims, including alleged infidelity, and misunderstandings stemming from the misuse of past photos, a collective of Kim Soo-hyun's Korean and global fans announced their firm stance on May 1st.

In an official statement, the fan union declared, "Groundless claims are continuously being made regarding the actor. We implore you to stop the spread of these false speculations."

They added with a strong tone, "We will resolutely respond to indiscriminate secondary victimization and distorted reporting," signaling their commitment to protecting the actor.

This action follows a YouTube channel's video on April 30th, titled "Why Did Kim Soo-hyun's Ex-Girlfriend Release a Letter? The Truth Behind the Unexpected Cheating Rumors!" The video claimed Kim Soo-hyun was under extreme stress and was seeking solace through hiking. However, the accompanying photo was revealed to be a post the actor himself shared on his social media in August 2022.

As some media outlets reported this as a recent 'current situation' photo, confusion arose. Malicious comments questioning who took the photo prompted fans to intervene directly.

Kim Soo-hyun's agency has previously stated their intention to take legal action against false claims. His legal representative, attorney Ko Sang-rok, has refuted accusations, such as those from a deceased individual's family claiming a six-year relationship since middle school, as baseless. He even presented letters exchanged during Kim Soo-hyun's military service to counter the controversy.

The fan union emphasized, "We will no longer stand idly by while the actor's rights are violated." They vowed, "We will pursue legal responsibility to the fullest against those who spread false information and engage in malicious commenting."

Despite the constant barrage of fake news and speculation, Kim Soo-hyun and his fans are demonstrating unwavering resolve to protect his reputation.
