Jo Woo-jin Returns to 'Curious Stories' to Promote Film 'Boss,' Calls It a 'Chuseok Gift'
Actor Jo Woo-jin made a guest appearance on SBS's 'Curious Stories You Tell' (hereinafter referred to as 'Curious Stories') once again to promote his upcoming film, 'Boss.'
On the broadcast aired on the 2nd, 'Curious Stories' focused on the 'Kim Gil-tae and the Dark King - Busan Middle Schooler Murder Case,' with Shin So-yul, Kim Ki-bang, and Jo Woo-jin joining as guests. Jo Woo-jin had previously promised during his appearance a year ago that he would return once the film he was shooting at the time, 'Boss,' was released.
Fulfilling his promise, he returned to introduce the film 'Boss.' Jo Woo-jin explained, 'The gang boss dies suddenly, and a fierce competition, or rather a voluntary surrender, unfolds for the next boss position.' He revealed that his character is recognized as the number one contender for the next boss but has the unexpected twist of running a Chinese restaurant as a chef. He also heightened anticipation by introducing the character of another contender, played by Jung Kyung-ho, who became engrossed in dancing while in prison, and the passionate but incompetent character portrayed by Park Ji-hwan.
When asked if it was a film suitable for family viewing during Chuseok, Jo Woo-jin responded with a laugh, 'Everyone – family, lovers, friends, ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends – can watch it together.' He added, 'It will be a work that everyone can enjoy and have fun with. I want to present it as a Chuseok gift to everyone.'
Furthermore, Jo Woo-jin actively promoted not only the film's trailer but also its music video, urging viewers, 'If you haven't seen it yet, go find it right now,' which elicited laughter. Jang Do-yeon commented on his earnestness, 'I really hope it does well,' and Jo Woo-jin playfully emphasized to the production team, 'What were you doing not watching it?', adding to the cheerful atmosphere on set.
Netizens who watched the broadcast reacted positively, with comments like, 'Actor Jo Woo-jin is back! It's cool that he kept his promise,' 'The trailer for 'Boss' looks fun, I can't wait to watch it,' and 'A Chuseok gift movie, I'm looking forward to it!'
