Furthermore, Hammington revealed his past as a student at Korea University's Korean Language Education Center in 1998. He stated, "I came as an exchange student and learned Korean culture and history. I live in Yeonhui-dong, so I know both Korea University and Yonsei University well," piquing viewers' interest.
