IU's Casual Summer Photos Spark Laughter with AKMU Lee Su-hyun's 'Princess' Comment
Singer IU has shared glimpses of her summer days with fans, prompting a wave of amusement sparked by a witty comment from AKMU member Lee Su-hyun.
IU recently posted several photos on her social media with the simple caption, "Goodbye, summer." The collection featured candid snapshots of her enjoying her everyday life, including eating an apple while wearing pajamas and no makeup, alongside other memories from the summer season.
One particular photo that caught attention was a selfie taken outdoors by IU, dressed in a white short-sleeved t-shirt. With her hair casually styled, she looked at the camera. The t-shirt featured a unique graphic of a man sitting with his legs crossed on a sofa. This man turned out to be AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk, whose exhibition merchandise this t-shirt was.
Upon seeing the photo, Lee Chan-hyuk responded with a laughing emoji. However, his sister and fellow AKMU member, Lee Su-hyun, playfully commented, "Princess, please only wear pretty clothes ㅠㅠ," which instantly drew laughter from fans.
Beyond this, IU gifted her fans with a variety of other behind-the-scenes glimpses, including moments from photoshoots and award ceremony events. Previously, IU held her fan meeting '2025 IU FAN MEET-UP-Bye, Summer,' where she created meaningful moments with her fans. Her act of getting close to and holding hands with audience members in wheelchair seats during the encore performance also became a talking point. On her debut anniversary, IU demonstrated her signature fan love by donating 200 million KRW to various vulnerable groups under the name 'IUaena' (IU + Uaena). Her surprise new song 'Bye, Summer' is currently topping domestic and international charts.
Fans reacted with delight to Lee Su-hyun's comment, with many finding it hilarious and relating to the protective sentiment towards IU. Comments like "Lee Su-hyun is so funny lol," and "IU is pretty no matter what, but maybe wear princess clothes next time!" flooded the posts.
