SM Rookies SMTR25 Unveils First Original Content 'W.O.W!' to Showcase Growth Journey
SM Entertainment's (SM) upcoming male trainee team, SMTR25, is set to make their mark on global music fans with the launch of their first original content series, 'W.O.W!'
The first trailer for 'W.O.W!', released on the SMTOWN Friends YouTube channel on October 2nd at 6 PM, offers a glimpse into the fresh entertainment skills and chemistry of the first-generation members as they step out of the practice room to embrace new experiences.
'W.O.W!' stands for 'Way Outta Walls.' The concept follows the trainees participating in club activities, breaking through various walls through exciting experiences beyond the confines of their practice spaces. The first season features members DANIEL, KASSHO, KACHIN, and TATA.
Through this original content, the four trainees will showcase their growth as artists while engaging in self-directed club activities, exploring everything 'W.O.W!' in the world. Some episodes, produced with support from the Korea Tourism Organization, will be presented as a hybrid travelogue set in Daejeon, highlighting diverse cultural experiences.
SMTR25 was first revealed to the public during the 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' concert in Seoul this past January, performing a tribute stage for SM's 30th anniversary. They have since graced stages in Mexico City, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. Recently, they garnered attention with the announcement of their exclusive reality show 'Reply High School,' produced in collaboration with Eggiscoming, building anticipation for this new content series.
Meanwhile, the main episodes of SMTR25's first original content 'W.O.W!' will be released every Friday at 6 PM KST, with behind-the-scenes footage dropping every Saturday at 2 PM KST, starting October 10th, on the SMTOWN Friends YouTube channel.
Fans are expressing great excitement over the debut of SM's new trainee group. Comments include sentiments like "Are the trainees' visuals for real?", "The chemistry is already exploding, I'm so looking forward to it," and "I definitely have to watch W.O.W!"
