Global sensation BLACKPINK member Rosé has become embroiled in a racial discrimination controversy, prompting a public apology from British fashion magazine ELLE UK.

ELLE UK initially posted photos from the Saint Laurent 2026 Spring/Summer fashion show held in Paris. However, the magazine cropped Rosé out of a group photo featuring attendees like Charli XCX, Hailey Bieber, and Zoë Kravitz, sparking widespread anger among fans. Rosé's absence from other shared photos further fueled accusations that ELLE UK had intentionally excluded her.

Fans voiced strong objections, with many believing the magazine deliberately omitted Rosé. The controversy escalated, drawing criticism from British media as well. Finally, two days after the incident, ELLE UK posted a solo picture of Rosé on their social media accounts and issued a formal apology.

"We sincerely apologize for cropping Rosé from the group picture during the resizing process of our recent Paris Fashion Week post. We never intended to offend anyone," stated ELLE UK. They further added, "The post has been removed, and ELLE UK is committed to ensuring our coverage reflects the diversity of our valued readers moving forward."

Adding fuel to the fire, Charli XCX and Hailey Bieber also shared photos on their social media where Rosé appeared to be deliberately darkened, intensifying the racial discrimination allegations.

Netizens are expressing their anger, with comments like "ELLE UK's apology lacks sincerity," "It's hard to believe this was just a mistake, the intention seems obvious," and "This is disrespectful not just to Rosé, but to all Asians." Many are calling for stricter measures to prevent future incidents.
