Han Ga-in Opens Up About Three Miscarriages and IVF Journey: "Our Precious Children"
South Korean actress Han Ga-in recently shared her deeply personal journey through multiple miscarriages and her path to motherhood via in-vitro fertilization (IVF). In a video posted on her YouTube channel 'Free Wife Han Ga-in' on the 4th, the star revisited the gynecological specialist who played a crucial role in helping her build her family.
Han Ga-in candidly revealed the immense emotional toll of experiencing three miscarriages in a single year, describing it as the most challenging period of her life. Despite diligently trying to conceive after a decade of contraception, she faced repeated heartbreak due to genetic defects. The specialist provided comforting reassurance, emphasizing that miscarriages are not uncommon and not the patient's fault, which helped her cope mentally.
Her perseverance eventually led to success, as her fourth IVF attempt resulted in a healthy pregnancy with her first daughter. She mentioned that the initial high hormone levels even suggested a potential twin or triplet pregnancy due to the strong implantation. Surprisingly, her second child, a son, was conceived naturally a couple of years later, much to her delight. Han Ga-in expressed profound gratitude for her two healthy children, emphasizing their preciousness. When playfully asked by the doctor about a third child, she humorously responded that she has too much on her plate for now.
