(G)I-DLE's Yuqi and Chinese Actor Wang Anyu Share a Heartbreaking Story in New MV Teaser

(G)I-DLE member Yuqi (YUQI) has unveiled the intro film for 'Strange', a track from her upcoming debut single 'Motivation', hinting at a poignant story with Chinese actor Wang Anyu.

Cube Entertainment released the video on (G)I-DLE's official social media channels on the 9th. The clip features Yuqi running out of an office, hand-in-hand with Wang Anyu, instead of signing a contract, accompanied by Wang Anyu's narration. Their captivating performances and cinematic visuals have heightened anticipation for the full music video.

Previously released concept photos also showed Yuqi and Wang Anyu in a romantic depiction, drawing significant attention. This collaboration is garnering considerable interest in China, with related search terms topping trending lists on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media platform, following the announcement of Wang Anyu's appearance.

'Strange', co-written and co-composed by Yuqi herself, will have its music video premiere on the 10th at midnight. This release showcases Yuqi's continuous transformation, following her fairytale-like 'Alice in Wonderland' concept photos. Her debut single 'Motivation' is set for an official release on the 16th at 6 PM KST.
