After over a decade of dialysis, she underwent a second transplant in August, this time from her older brother. She had previously expressed immense gratitude for her brother's selfless act, stating that while it was a heavy burden, she understood it as a profound expression of family love, vowing to live each day more meaningfully.

Park Ji-yeon married comedian Lee Soo-geun in 2008 and they have two sons.

Her health struggles began in 2011 after developing severe kidney issues stemming from postpartum pre-eclampsia.

Following over a decade of dialysis, she recently underwent a successful second kidney transplant, with her older brother as the donor.
