National team legend and former goalkeeper Kim Young-kwang, along with his wife Kim Eun-ji, are making waves as they join SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny' as a new celebrity couple.

The episode aired on the 22nd marked the first broadcast showcasing the daily lives of the Kim Young-kwang and Kim Eun-ji couple. Actor Im Soo-hyang, a close friend of Kim Eun-ji for 18 years, appeared in the studio, drawing significant attention.

Im Soo-hyang revealed that Kim Young-kwang used to excessively restrict his wife's activities. In response, Kim Young-kwang humorously explained, 'I couldn't help but try to protect my beautiful wife,' showcasing his 'goalkeeper instincts' and eliciting laughter.

Kim Young-kwang introduced his wife as 'the breadwinner of our household,' joking that he himself is 'at a beggar's level.' Contrasting his charismatic on-field presence, he confessed to living in a tiny, roughly two-pyeong room, shocking the studio audience.

Furthermore, Kim Young-kwang's spending habits were revealed. Despite having zero fixed income, he pursues 'small but certain happiness' by collecting over 100 phone cases, engaging in surprisingly significant spending. He also stated a principle of not letting juniors spend money and even declared he would pay for Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min, who earns 18.1 billion won annually, as he is also a 'junior.' This revelation, however, ended with the confession that all payments were made using his wife's 'Wife Card,' leading to much amusement.

Kim Young-kwang's immersion extends to his hobbies, as he is so engrossed in a mobile game that he ranks first in Korea. This prompted his wife, Kim Eun-ji, to confess to facing marital crisis, saying, 'I don't understand why he lives like this.' Observing this, Kim Gu-ra emphasized the need for change, stating, 'I can't guarantee things in five years if he continues like this.'

Meanwhile, Kim Eun-ji's work as a dermatology clinic director in Cheongdam-dong was also shown for the first time. She demonstrated a special 'idol treatment' for her husband, dramatically altering his appearance and astonishing the cast. Im Soo-hyang commented that a man who takes care of himself is her ideal type, while Kim Young-kwang hinted at setting up a blind date with a handsome junior soccer player, adding to the anticipation for future episodes.

Kim Young-kwang, born in 1987, is a legendary former South Korean national football player and goalkeeper. After debuting with Jeonnam Dragons in 2004, he played for various professional teams including Ulsan Hyundai and FC Seoul, winning league titles. He also served as the captain for the South Korean U-23 team at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, leading them to a gold medal.
