Son Ye-jin Opens Up About Hyun Bin: "We Understood Each Other Without Words"

Actress Son Ye-jin has openly shared her love story with husband Hyun Bin, expressing her deep affection.

In a recent appearance on the YouTube channel ‘Yoojeong Jaehyung’, Son Ye-jin candidly discussed behind-the-scenes stories of her marriage with Hyun Bin, whom she previously worked with.

When MC Jeong Jae-hyung asked if her husband was the type to pressure her or say, ‘Just go do it. I’ll handle things,’ Son Ye-jin replied, “My husband’s biggest strength is that he never tells me, ‘I wish you’d do this’ or ‘I wish you wouldn’t do that,’” praising Hyun Bin’s considerate nature.

The couple first met through the movie ‘The Negotiation’ and reunited in the drama ‘Crash Landing on You’. Son Ye-jin smiled as she recalled, “‘Crash Landing on You’ could be the most meaningful work of my life, because I met my spouse through it.”

Recalling their first meeting, Son Ye-jin shared, “We had similar debut timings and were both the youngest in our families, so we had many commonalities. We understood each other without needing to speak. Fundamentally, I felt, ‘This person is genuinely kind.’ I liked that he was his authentic self, without any pretense.”

She further explained, “My feelings didn’t develop at one specific moment but gradually grew as we worked together and spent time with each other,” detailing their natural progression into a couple. She also expressed her current happiness, stating, “Being with my child now is the happiest. Those small moments we share as a family of three at the playground are true, fulfilling happiness,” reflecting on her changed daily life.

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin married in 2022 and welcomed their son in November of the same year.

Son Ye-jin debuted in 2001 with the drama 'Sunhee Jinhee' and quickly gained popularity. She has since cemented her status as a top star through diverse roles in films like 'A Moment to Remember' and 'The Classic', and dramas such as 'Personal Taste' and 'Secret Garden'.
