10CM's Kwon Jung-yeol Takes the Helm as New MC for 'The Seasons'

Kwon Jung-yeol, the charismatic vocalist of the band 10CM, is set to host the upcoming season of KBS 2TV's late-night music talk show, 'The Seasons'. Taking over from actor Park Bo-gum, Kwon expressed his commitment to filling the show, now titled 'The Seasons – Kwon Jung-yeol's Comforting Hug', with rich music and heartwarming stories.

During the press conference held on the 5th at the KBS Art Hall, Kwon acknowledged his predecessor, stating, "I'm lacking in every aspect compared to Park Bo-gum." However, he confidently highlighted his strengths, including his long-standing familiarity with KBS's late-night music programs and his ability as a current musician to connect with and comfort fellow artists on the show.

He added, "Park Bo-gum, though an actor, has a broad musical spectrum, which I admired. I'm excited to showcase my unique musical color and interpretation through distinctive interviews and stage productions." Having been a frequent guest on 'The Seasons', Kwon aims to be an MC who understands and empathizes with artists' feelings perhaps better than anyone else.

Melomance's Jung Dong-hwan, who will be collaborating with Kwon, shared his impressions: "He was always a cool senior on stage, but seeing him nervous as the MC made him feel more relatable. I recognized his experience from the way he took care of the artists." Producer Choi Seung-hee also cited Kwon Jung-yeol as their top choice among musicians with proven talent and public recognition.

When asked about his dream guests, Kwon enthusiastically named Jang Beom-june and Lee Moon-sae, particularly expressing a desire to collaborate with Jang Beom-june on broadcast for the first time. 'The Seasons' has consistently provided a platform connecting musicians and viewers through its rotating MC system, with Kwon Jung-yeol becoming the eighth host after Park Jae-bum, Choi Jung-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, Lee Young-ji, and Park Bo-gum. 'The Seasons – Kwon Jung-yeol's Comforting Hug' premieres today, the 5th, at 10 PM.

Kwon Jung-yeol debuted in 2010 as the vocalist of 10CM, achieving widespread popularity with numerous hit songs such as 'The First Breakup, The First Love' and 'What the Spring'.
