Actor Lee Shin-young has playfully confessed that his confidence in his athletic abilities took a hit after meeting fellow actor Yoon Seo-bin while working on the new film, 'Run On'.

The revelation came during a press conference and preview screening held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 5th. The event included director Lee Seung-hoon and cast members Ha Seok-jin, Lee Shin-young, Da-hyun, Lee Soon-won, and Yoon Seo-bin.

'Run On' is a running drama that depicts the intense sprints of men chasing their present and future goals. The story centers on Goo Young (Ha Seok-jin), Korea's fastest man nearing the end of his prime, as he strives to shave off 0.02 seconds to achieve his dream of competing in the World Athletics Championships. Lee Shin-young plays Kang Seung-yeol, a high school student with feet faster than a soccer ball, who discovers the sheer joy of running.

Lee Shin-young, who also portrayed an athlete in the 2023 film 'Rebound', shared his thoughts on his own athleticism. "I used to think I had above-average athletic skills," he said. "I was a track and field athlete in school, ranking first or second and even reaching the finals in the provincial games, so I had a certain level of pride."

He continued with a smile, "However, my perspective changed after meeting Seo-bin. I realized there's someone far more talented than me. It made me humble." He also spoke about developing an ambition for faster times during his training for the role, likening the thrilling sensation athletes must feel to the unique charm of being a track and field runner.

Meanwhile, the film 'Run On', starring Lee Shin-young and Ha Seok-jin, is set to premiere exclusively at Lotte Cinema on the 10th.

Lee Shin-young debuted in 2019 with the drama 'Extraordinary You'. He previously took on the role of a basketball player in the 2023 film 'Rebound', marking his first foray into portraying an athlete on screen. Beyond his acting career, he has also appeared on various variety shows, increasing his public recognition.
