Former MLB star Park Chan-ho, affectionately known as the 'Korean Express,' attended the Major League Soccer (MLS) debut match of Son Heung-min for LAFC in Los Angeles. Park shared his experience on social media, noting his disappointment with the game's outcome but emphasizing the meaningfulness of the occasion.

He described the stadium atmosphere as akin to a K-pop concert, filled with numerous Korean fans donning Son Heung-min's black jersey. Park drew parallels to his own time playing for the LA Dodgers, reminiscing about Korean fans waving the Taegeukgi (South Korean flag) at baseball games, calling it a 'great contribution to national prestige.'

Son Heung-min's LAFC home debut against San Diego at BMO Stadium ended in a 1-2 loss, despite Son's efforts to lead the team's offense. Following the match, Park Chan-ho met with Son Woong-jung, Son Heung-min's father and head coach of the SON Football Academy, posing for a photo together in a memorable encounter.

Park Chan-ho is widely regarded as one of the greatest pitchers in South Korean baseball history. He made his MLB debut in 1994, playing for various teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers, and holds the distinction of being the first Korean player to compete in Major League Baseball. After retiring from professional sports, he has also established a presence as a television personality.
