ILLIT Kicks Off Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 with Trendsetting Performance
Girl group ILLIT has solidified its status as a trend icon by gracing the opening stage of Japan's largest fashion festival, the '41st Mynavi TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER' (TGC).
On the 6th, ILLIT took the prestigious opening slot for the 20th anniversary celebration of TGC, held at the Saitama Super Arena. Dressed in vibrant, pastel-toned sporty outfits, the group ignited the festival with a performance of their third mini-album's title track, 'JellyOUS'. They swiftly amplified the atmosphere with their energetic, high-difficulty choreography before transitioning to 'Almond Chocolate', where they interacted with the audience from the runway, showcasing their charming appeal. The set concluded with a lively performance of their Japanese debut title track, 'Toki Yo Tomare', earning thunderous applause and cheers.
"This was our first time performing at TGC, and thanks to everyone's cheers, we had a lot of fun," said the members. "We are truly honored to be the ones to open this 20th-anniversary event. We hope our charms were well conveyed in this short time. Please also listen to our recently released first Japanese single."
Established in 2005, TGC is a premier Japanese festival that showcases the latest trends in fashion and music, featuring top models and artists. It draws approximately 20,000 attendees annually, with an additional 5 million tuning in online. ILLIT not only opened the show but also participated in the opening declaration and lighting ceremony, adding to the event's significance.
In addition to their TGC appearance, ILLIT is slated to perform at 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025', Japan's largest music festival, on the 14th. They are expected to perform on the GRASS STAGE, one of the festival's main stages, to an audience of around 40,000.
ILLIT is a 5-member girl group under HYBE's label Belift Lab, debuting in March 2024. Comprising members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha, they quickly gained popularity with their debut song 'Magnetic'. All members are teenagers, captivating fans both domestically and internationally with their fresh and energetic concept.
