Jin Tae-hyun Completes Marathon 76 Days Post-Thyroid Cancer Surgery, Runs Alongside Wife Park Si-eun

Actor Jin Tae-hyun has successfully completed a marathon, marking 76 days since his thyroid cancer surgery. He shared the heartwarming news alongside his wife, actress Park Si-eun, through his social media channels.

Jin Tae-hyun posted, "Today, my wife and I went to a running competition. My wife ran the 10k, and I participated in the half marathon. She finished in 55 minutes, 6 minutes slower than her personal best, and I completed it in 1 hour and 53 minutes, 20 minutes slower than my usual time."

He explained that he ran diligently on the 76th day after his surgery to prove he hasn't given up on his dreams. He also expressed his desire to show his wife a healthy image as a husband and sent his prayers to his marathoner stepdaughter, Ji-hye, and fellow elite runners Choi Kyung-sun and Im Ye-jin, hoping they overcome any challenges in their races.

Despite feeling a bit dizzy in the hot weather after such a long run, Jin Tae-hyun views it as part of his training and eagerly anticipates the spring season of 2026. "I am someone who never gives up. All hardships are shadows I must take responsibility for and overcome," he stated, adding, "I run because I must protect my beloved wife for a lifetime."

He extended words of encouragement to those facing difficulties, saying, "The world doesn't know us, so we have no choice but to push through. I cheer you on to look up at the sky and take another step forward."

Jin Tae-hyun plans to resume recovery jogs starting tomorrow, emphasizing the importance of having goals. He believes failures make people more humble and stronger. Upon returning home, he felt a sense of calm while looking at the clear sky and urged everyone to take a deep breath, gather strength, and not give up.

Concluding his message, he expressed his profound love for his wife, Park Si-eun, who ran with him, stating, "To my everything, my wife Park Si-eun, I love you." Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun married in 2015.
