
Former Crayon Pop Member Choa Shares Glimpse of Her 11-Week Pregnancy Journey
Choa, former member of the popular K-pop group Crayon Pop, has shared an update on her pregnancy journey. The singer is currently 11 weeks along.
On the 6th, Choa posted on her social media, "I threw up everything I ate for dinner while brushing my teeth ㅠㅠ I was lying down, but managed to go for a walk.. It's cool since it's raining." The accompanying photo showed Choa taking a leisurely walk in a park late at night, suggesting a light workout to ease indigestion after her evening meal.
The following day, on the 7th, she updated fans on her condition, saying, "My stomach feels really bad, so I'm having porridge." A photo revealed her meal of abalone porridge, chosen for being easy on the stomach, which elicited concern from her followers.
Choa married a businessman six years her senior in 2021. Early in her marriage, while preparing for pregnancy, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and underwent surgery. Despite hearing from multiple hospitals that pregnancy might be difficult, she found medical professionals who could preserve her fertility and recovered after surgery in 2023. With medical approval, she attempted pregnancy and successfully conceived on her first round of IVF. Notably, she revealed that a single embryo transplanted had naturally divided into identical twins, surprising many.
She is currently 11 weeks pregnant and is expected to give birth in March of next year.
Choa debuted with the group Crayon Pop in 2012, gaining significant fame with their hit song 'Bar Bar Bar.' She married a businessman of the same age in 2021, and shortly after, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer during her efforts to conceive. After overcoming the challenging treatment and surgery, she has since recovered. She recently achieved pregnancy with identical twins through her first IVF attempt.
