Laugh Riot Concludes! 13th Busan International Comedy Festival Ends in Grand Success

Asia's largest comedy festival, the '13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF)', has successfully concluded its 10-day run.

Kicking off on August 29th with a sold-out opening performance, the festival featured 52 teams from 9 countries, presenting a total of 89 diverse shows. The closing day, the 7th, saw the 'Heegeuk Sanghoe' team deliver hilarious sketch comedies, followed by a 'I am a Gag-singer' stage where comedians showcased their vocal talents, bringing immense laughter to the audience.

Awards were presented to the SOOP live gag talk show 'Sseulpisode' team for the 'Unknown Sea Award', 'Fire Album' for the 'Street King Award', 'Ahn Young-mi Show: All Ages (Seum) Show' for the 'Hot Sea Award', 'The Ultimate Japanese Comedy Show' for the best international production ('Laughter Sea Award'), and 'Gag Concert' team for the best domestic production ('Busan Sea Award').

Festival director Kim Jun-ho and director Kim Dae-hee made a surprise appearance to accept the award on behalf of 'Gag Concert'. The festival concluded with Lee Hong-ryeol, Kim Jun-ho, and Kim Dae-hee shouting 'Busan Sea! Laughter Sea!', marking the successful end of the event and reaffirming the global standing of K-comedy.

Ahn Young-mi is a renowned South Korean comedian and actress who has made a successful comeback after childbirth, receiving widespread support from fans. Known for her candid and bold humor, she is highly loved by the public and is expected to continue her active career in various broadcasting activities.
