Song Seung-hyun, formerly of the rock band FTISLAND, is embarking on a new chapter of his life as the owner of a Korean pork soup and rice restaurant in New York City.

He recently shared updates from his life in the Big Apple via his personal social media, marking one year since his relocation. Song Seung-hyun credited his father for guiding him into the distribution industry in Korea, experiences that, while unrelated to his current venture, have proven invaluable.

Recounting the initial three challenging months as a period of deep loneliness, he expressed gratitude for the fortunate circumstances that led to his marriage in his new environment. Reflecting on his past as a celebrity, he admitted to a former arrogance despite believing himself humble, and now vows to be an even more humble 'gukbap' restaurant owner.

Song Seung-hyun debuted as the guitarist for FTISLAND in 2009, gaining significant popularity. After leaving the group in 2019, he transitioned into acting, expanding his career horizons. He officially announced his retirement from the entertainment industry in February of last year and married a non-celebrity woman in June of the same year.
