An alarming incident occurred during SEVENTEEN's world tour concert when a pyrotechnic device malfunctioned, sending sparks towards the audience.

Pledis Entertainment, the agency representing SEVENTEEN, released an official statement on the 14th, confirming that some of the special effects fireworks used in the final segment of the 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR 'FOLLOW' TO INCHEON' performance on the 13th fell into the audience area.

The agency explained that despite thorough safety checks and directional settings conducted by the event company prior to the show, the incident was attributed to a product defect. They extended their deepest apologies to any audience members who were startled or inconvenienced by the sudden occurrence.

Two audience members who sustained injuries were treated at an on-site temporary medical facility and subsequently discharged. Pledis Entertainment assured that they would actively support the follow-up treatment procedures for the injured parties to ensure their swift recovery.

Furthermore, the company announced that a separate notification message would be sent to all attendees of the concert to investigate any potential additional damages and to clarify the specific circumstances surrounding the event.

To prevent any recurrence, SEVENTEEN's team stated that the faulty product would be excluded from the performance on the 14th, with enhanced safety inspections to be conducted before any special effects are implemented. They reiterated their sincere apologies for the distress and inconvenience caused and pledged to prioritize audience safety and foster a secure concert environment moving forward.

SEVENTEEN is currently continuing their world tour in Incheon and is scheduled to perform in Hong Kong on the 27th and 28th.

SEVENTEEN, a 13-member boy group, debuted in 2015 and is renowned for their self-producing capabilities, delivering exceptional music and performances. Their active solo and unit activities have recently expanded their global fanbase. The 'FOLLOW' world tour marks their first large-scale tour in approximately a year, garnering significant anticipation from fans.
