K-pop sensation ILLIT lit up the main stage at Japan's premier rock festival, 'Rock in Japan Festival 2025' (RIJF), leaving a massive audience of approximately 40,000 fans in awe.

On June 14th, the five members – Yunna, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha – took to the GRASS STAGE at Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan, delivering an electrifying 40-minute set featuring 11 songs performed with full live band accompaniment. RIJF, celebrating its 26th anniversary, is one of Japan's four major rock festivals, and ILLIT commanded the prominent stage with undeniable charisma.

Opening with their Japanese debut single title track, 'Toki Yo Tomare', ILLIT seamlessly transitioned into festival-ready arrangements, including a Swing version of 'Tick-Tack' and a Nu-Disco rendition of 'Lucky Girl Syndrome'. The crowd erupted with cheers even before the intro of 'Almond Chocolate' played, showcasing the song's immense popularity.

The group demonstrated remarkable live vocal prowess and stage presence, particularly when they reinterpreted 'Cherish (My Love)' with a powerful rock sound, captivating the audience with their versatile artistry. During tracks like 'I'll Like You' and 'Topping', the members engaged directly with fans, creating an intimate connection. ILLIT exclaimed, "We're confident with our live performance backed by a band, so let's enjoy this together! We're going to pour all our energy out."

The performance of 'oops!' saw the entire audience swaying towels in unison during the chorus, creating a spectacular visual. This was followed by a high-energy performance of 'jellyous' with complex choreography, and 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' and 'Magnetic' were met with thunderous applause from the tens of thousands present.

After their powerful 40-minute showcase, ILLIT expressed their amazement at the crowd's energy, stating, "The energy from the audience today is incredible. The atmosphere is even better than we expected." They playfully added, "We've secretly cast a magic spell on you all while singing. Now, only fortunate things will happen to everyone," eliciting further excitement from the fans.

Meanwhile, ILLIT's popularity in Japan continues to surge. On June 10th, the popular TBS variety show 'Yoru no Burunchi' featured a special segment on their upcoming Japanese fan concert, '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN'. Their live performance on NHK's prominent music program 'Venue101' on June 13th also garnered significant positive feedback from local fans.
