The legendary singer Cho Yong-pil has set the Gocheok Dome ablaze with his special, 'Forever This Moment-Cho Yong-pil,' a grand project by KBS celebrating the 80th anniversary of Korea's Liberation.

Set to broadcast on KBS on October 6th, this concert marks Cho Yong-pil's first solo stage at KBS in 28 years since his 'Big Show' in 1997, signaling the return of a national icon who holds numerous records, including being the first to achieve a million-seller with a single album and surpassing 10 million cumulative album sales.

Tickets for the event sold out within 3 minutes for both the first and second rounds, proving the immense demand. Officials at Gocheok Dome lauded the concert as one of the grandest in scale and quality.

During the 150-minute performance, Cho Yong-pil mesmerized the audience with hit songs like 'Come Back to Busan Port,' 'My Friend,' and 'Bounce.' The stage, enhanced by a massive LED screen and diverse special effects, provided unforgettable moments. Cheering sticks distributed freely by KBS transformed the venue into a sea of starlight.

A Gocheok Dome representative commented, 'Among the major concerts held here by top artists like Maroon 5 and Blackpink, this was one of the largest in scale. The stage production was particularly outstanding.' They added, 'Despite being a free concert for all 18,000 seats, it concluded successfully without any safety incidents,' expressing their admiration.

Cho Yong-pil debuted in 1969 with the rock band 'The Atkins.' In 1980, his song 'Woman Outside the Window' earned him the Grand Prize for Singer of the Year at the KBS Music Awards, solidifying his status as a national singer. His music transcends generations and continues to be beloved, significantly influencing younger artists.
