Chef Ahn Sung-jae has disclosed the reason behind his surprising request to his daughter: to avoid visiting his acclaimed restaurant, 'Mosu'.

In a recent episode of his YouTube channel, 'Chef Ahn Sung-jae,' aired on the 17th, actor Jo Woo-jin appeared to learn how to make Tteokbokki with 'bunmoja' (tapioca pearls).

Jo Woo-jin, sharing his experiences as a 'goose father' (a father who lives apart from his family abroad), mentioned learning the recipe for his daughter. Chef Ahn asked, "What's the first dish you ever made for your daughter as a father?"

Jo Woo-jin responded, "I can confidently make jjajangmyeon. I adjust the water and add a few extra ingredients. When my daughter says it's delicious, I feel unexpectedly proud. Even though it's not entirely my skill, hearing that feels good," he shared.

Ahn revealed, "The first meal I ever cooked for my daughter, Si-young, was at 'Mosu.' I didn't have much time to cook at home." This statement surprised Jo Woo-jin. 'Mosu' was once Korea's sole three-Michelin-starred restaurant and remains a highly sought-after dining destination, often requiring advance reservations.

He continued, "So, when I asked my daughter, 'What was the most delicious thing you ate?', she replied, 'Shark's eggs~'. I thought, 'I'm going to spoil this child,' and 'She's going to run me into the ground.' So I told her, 'You shouldn't come to Mosu anymore, just eat at home from now on.'" (laughs). "Even so, seeing her happy made me very happy," he confessed, eliciting laughter. Jo Woo-jin added, "I wanted to feel that too, so I made dishes for her, albeit clumsily."

Chef Ahn Sung-jae is a renowned culinary figure in Korea, celebrated for his innovative approach to cuisine. He previously served as the head chef at 'Mosu,' a restaurant that achieved the prestigious status of being Korea's first and only three-Michelin-starred establishment. Currently, he engages with a wider audience through his popular YouTube channel, sharing his passion for cooking.
