Singer Jadu Opens Up About Life After Marrying a Pastor: 'I Worried I Couldn't Be a Pastor's Wife'
Singer Jadu has shared an update on her life after marrying a pastor, drawing significant attention.
On the 17th, a video titled "Jang Young-ran's Unique Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe with a Secret Ingredient (+1-Minute Cabbage Soup, Insanely Delicious)" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'A-Class Jang Young-ran'.
During her guest appearance, Jadu responded to Jang Young-ran's question about how she'd been, stating, "I was doing something somewhere. Primarily because I married a pastor."
Jang Young-ran humorously commented, "You're a pastor's wife, but you have blonde hair!" to which Jadu replied, "I've done almost everything except broadcasting. I did appear on shows occasionally, like 'Wife's Taste'."
Jadu confessed her initial fears about the role, saying, "I thought I couldn't be loud as a pastor's wife. I thought my true self would disappear." She elaborated, "The decisive reason I decided to marry was one day when my husband looked so pitiful. I felt so tainted by the world, while he was a promising pastor from a very young age, never having played around or gone astray."
She recounted an emotional moment: "One day I cried, saying, 'I've met many men, been to clubs, done everything I wanted, and I have no money or status. I can't be a pastor's wife.' My husband's first words were, 'What is a pastor's wife? What do you think a pastor and a pastor's wife are? Don't feel that burden.'"
Jadu concluded with affection for her husband: "That's why my face shines so brightly. I want to continue working. Before, my husband had to worry about airfare, but now I hope he can travel extensively without any financial concerns."
Jadu announced her marriage to her husband, a pastor two years her junior, in October 2019. At the time, she stated she was stepping away from entertainment to attend seminary and prepare to become a pastor's wife. Jadu rose to fame in the early 2000s with her signature bright and cheerful persona.
