Son Dam-bi Tears Up Recalling Short Breastfeeding Journey
Singer and actress Son Dam-bi recently expressed her deep sadness over not being able to breastfeed her baby for an extended period.
Appearing on the MBN entertainment show 'Let's Go Together' Season 5, Son Dam-bi, along with fellow celebrities Ayumi and Lee Eun-hyung, shared their childbirth experiences. The guests revealed their ages at childbirth: Lee Eun-hyung at 42, Ayumi at 39, and Son Dam-bi at 43. MC Ahn Jung-hwan, empathizing with the mothers' struggles, shared his own experience witnessing his wife's difficult labor.
When asked about breastfeeding, Son Dam-bi disclosed that she was only able to breastfeed for two weeks due to low milk supply. She became emotional, stating, "I was forced to stop after just two weeks because the milk just wouldn't come. It was so upsetting." She recounted being told by a nurse to stop, which added to her distress.
Born in 1983, Son Dam-bi debuted as a solo singer in 2007, releasing hit songs like 'Crazy' and 'Queen.' She later expanded her career into acting, appearing in popular dramas such as 'Dream High,' 'Shine or Go Crazy,' and 'When the Camellia Blooms.' Son Dam-bi married former speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk in 2022 and recently welcomed their first child.
