Woozi, a member of the popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN, begins his mandatory military service today, enlisting as an active-duty soldier.

His agency, Pledis Entertainment, has requested fans refrain from visiting the enlistment site, asking for support and encouragement for Woozi and fellow member Hoshi to be shared through the Weverse platform.

SEVENTEEN began fulfilling their military obligations with Jeonghan's enlistment last September, followed by Wonwoo, who is currently serving as a social worker.

S.Coups received a Class 5 exemption due to a knee injury and subsequent surgery, while Joshua, being of Korean-American descent, is not subject to mandatory service.

Ahead of his enlistment, Woozi surprised fans at a concert in Incheon yesterday (14th) by appearing with a freshly cut buzz cut.

Woozi is recognized as SEVENTEEN's main producer, instrumental in crafting the group's signature sound through his extensive songwriting and composition credits for their hit tracks. His musical prowess is highly regarded not only within the group but also across the broader K-pop industry. While his activities will be paused during his service, fans eagerly anticipate his future musical endeavors upon his return.
