Son Dam-bi Recounts Husband's Misunderstanding Over Daughter's Appearance

Singer Son Dam-bi shared a humorous anecdote about her husband, Lee Gyu-hyuk, misunderstanding her comments about their daughter's looks.

Appearing as a guest on the SBS show 'Shinbal Eotgo Dolsingpoman' (roughly translated as 'Barefoot Bachelors') on the 16th, Son Dam-bi recalled an incident during her pregnancy.

She humorously recounted a moment during an ultrasound where the doctor remarked, 'The baby doesn't have Dam-bi's face.' To which she playfully retorted, 'Isn't that a bit premature?' eliciting laughter from everyone present.

Later, after giving birth, while viewing their newborn in the nursery, Son Dam-bi was moved to tears. When her husband asked if the baby was beautiful, she responded through tears, 'He looks so much like you.' This led Lee Gyu-hyuk to mistakenly believe she was crying because the baby resembled him, a misunderstanding Son Dam-bi found amusing in retrospect.

Fellow guest Lee Ji-hye, whose two daughters also strongly resemble their father, chimed in, relating to Son Dam-bi's experience and adding, 'It turned out beautifully. That's a blessing,' further amusing the cast.

Son Dam-bi married former speed skating national team athlete Lee Gyu-hyuk in May 2022. She has been actively appearing on television programs since her marriage. Fans are anticipating her return to acting roles.
